Tawny Port
Port Wine is exclusive of Douro Region, distinguished from other wines by its liqueur component and diversity of categories. Color, sweetness and alcohol content are characteristics that most highlight the Tawny Port Wine.
Tawny Port wines evolve in their color due to oxygenation and have aromas that remind us nuts. The Tawny Port is divided into the Tawny categories; Tawny Reserva; Tawny with indication of age (10,20,30, and 40 years) and Colheita (Harvest).
Tawny Port of the Douro“heart”
Located in the center of the Douro Region and with already 60 years producing Port Wine, the Cooperativa Agrícola de São João da Pesqueira has a vast tradition, knowledge and two Tawny Ports, the Fraga de Ouro Colheita 86 (harvest) and the Fraga de Ouro 20 years.
The tawny's our winery are aged in wood (hulls, layers already winy) with the purpose to wine gains the tonality and aroma, typical of a Tawny Port, during its natural evolution
Both wines are considered special category with High Quality classification certified by IVDP.
